MONTREAL – A fire destroyed two residential buildings Saturday, very early in the district of Tétreaultville in the borough of Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, in Montreal.
The fire started at the rear of the building on the rue Mousseau before to spread quickly.
According to the Service de sécurité incendie (SIM), three families were evacuated to be relocated.
The two buildings were heavily damaged.
No injuries have been reported, said a spokesman of the SIM, adding that the fire was eventually contained by firefighters.
The cause of the fire is “undetermined”.
