Victorious in the short track on Saturday, in Lake Placid, the Lodévois also won in cross-country, Sunday, September 29, in the World Cup round.
The New York State air suits Victor Koretzky. Indeed, the Lodévois hit hard this weekend. Saturday, he lined up in the short track event, a discipline in which he was crowned world champion last August. The Frenchman won by a narrow margin ahead of European champion Simon Andreassen and South African Alan Hatherly.

“It's incredible”
The Hérault native did it again on Sunday, in the cross-country event, this time beating Hatherly, world champion in the discipline. A fantastic double for the rider from the Specialized Factory Racing team. “The last time I did the double was in Les Gets in France a year ago, it's incredible, enjoyed the Héraultais after the race. Doing a double in one weekend is always difficult because you have to stay motivated and keep going. It was almost impossible to know who was the strongest. I rode very patiently the whole race because it was super fast and in the wheel it was a bit easier. But I couldn't ride at the front. I'm proud of myself, I'm proud of the team. It's crazy – Four wins in one weekend is incredible for Specialized. We want to do the same next week and then we can all party together."
Victor Koretzky is now in second place in the World Cup, 259 points behind Heatherly who remains in his sights. The next stop will take place from October 4th to 6th at the Mont Sainte-Anne site in Quebec.
