My Neighbor Totoro, spirited away… the Studio Ghibli arrives on Netflix
This Monday begins the best of ways. Netflix just announced the streaming platform has partnered with Studio Ghibli to offer us his incredible catalogue includes, among others, My Neighbor Totoro, spirited away, Grave of The Fireflies or Kiki the little witch. Life is beautiful.
The Twitter account of France of Netflix promised a big surprise for today and, indeed, the announcement just made the platform is pretty cool. To counter Disney+ and its offering for children through its many animated films, the website of SVOD unveiled its partnership with the famous Studio Ghibli.

Result, within the next three months (see below), the subscribers will discover the 21 cult films of the studio of japanese animation who gave us the stories of the most cute, touching and traumatic these past 30 years. Who among you has actually given the film

A real coup on the part of Netflix as the japanese studio had until then always been reluctant to the idea of such a partnership, but that fits in the era of time and the willingness of Ghibli grow. In a statement, Toshio Suzuki – producer, has entrusted it : “

On the side of the catalog, the films appear three times on Netflix. The
1st February will be put online : A castle in the sky (1986), My Neighbor Totoro (1988), Kiki the little witch (1989), Memories drip (1991), Porco Rosso (1992), I can hear the ocean (1993) and Tales from Earthsea (2006). The 1st march will be put online : Nausicaä of the valley of the wind (1984), Princess Mononoke (1997), My neighbours the Yamada (1999), spirited away (2001), The Kingdom of cats (2002), Arrietty, le petit monde des chapardeurs (2010), the Tale of the princess Kaguya (2013). Finally, the 1st of April will be put online Pompoko (1994), If you listen (1995), The moving Castle (2004), Ponyo on the cliff (2008), La Colline aux coquelicots (2011), The wind rises (2013) and Memories of Marnie (2014). And Grave of The fireflies ? Don’t worry, the film is absent from this list because… it is already available !
