The majority of homes in the outbreak of the Quebec city region are living in a lull, but the CHSLD Gardens, the Upper St. Lawrence river is unable to turn, to slow the spread of the virus with seven new cases.
In five days, 39 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed to Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures.
In the National Capital, 29 new cases were confirmed Tuesday, but no new deaths. The total to date is of 1441 people infected and 96 deaths.
In the designated hospitals of the region, there are currently 29 hospital admissions.
Among local outbreaks, the CHSLD Le Faubourg, the Clearing of the Wooded area and the CHSLD general Hospital of Quebec each have a case in their facility.
After a significant crisis, the Gardens of Evangeline does not have a new case in the last balance sheet. Their total of 132 persons infected and 11 died.
Also, for the whole area of Chaudière-Appalaches, there are only two new cases of COVID-19. The total of eight deaths is the same for a very long time.
Finally, the CISSS of the Chaudière-Appalaches begins a large-scale screening of the COVID-19 among workers in a CHSLD.
This mass screening will be done in the public and private institutions. This voluntary screening will affect about 4000 workers and physicians in 35 facilities.
Thus, the active staff will be tested over the next few days. At the end of the process the institution will have a balance sheet significant of the presence of the COVID-19 in its care settings.
On the territory of the Chaudière-Appalaches, the spread in the community remains very low and outbreaks in NURSING homes are under control.
The balance of the day reported two new cases of COVID-19. The ability to test, therefore, is not a problem.
