In 2022, a little more than 47% participation rate was recorded in the first round of the legislative elections and 46.6% in the second, for an election which came just after the presidential election. by Emmanuel Macron. More than 700 polling stations

Two years ago, four National Rally deputies won this election in the 1st constituency (Yoann Gillet), the second (Nicolas Meizonnet), the third (Pascale Bordes) and the fourth (Pierre Meurin).

Michel Sala (La France Insoumise) was the only representative on the left to be elected in Gard in the fifth constituency of Gard. Outgoing MoDem deputy, Philippe Berta, was re-elected in the sixth. The parliamentarian, and he is the only one in this case, is not running for these legislative elections.

In the 351 municipalities of Gard, we will also have to find tellers, assessors and presidents for the 718 offices (86 in Nîmes alone). It remains for the 564,920 Gardois and Gardoises registered on the electoral lists (figures from June 9 for the European elections) to choose from among the 35 candidates in the running spread over the six constituencies of Gard.
