70 illegal dwellings in the sights of the authorities

#HERAULT. According to the authorities, around a hundred people are living illegally on agricultural land in the town of Portiragnes. This Wednesday, April 24, a "targeted control as part of the fight against cabanization" was carried out by the prefecture.

"Reports were drawn up due to the presence of more than 70 illicit installations and constructions on agricultural and natural land, by definition unconstructible, and for some exposed to a flood risk", affirms the State at the time of the assessment. In addition, it has been noted that certain mobile homes and caravans are rented year-round to precarious families who thus live in conditions that constitute substandard housing.

Gérald Darmanin : "There will be a Place Net operation"

#AVEYRON. Visiting to inaugurate the new police station in Rodez, this Thursday, April 25, the Minister of Interior Gérald Darmanin returned to the key areas that the government intends to pursue in the coming months in Aveyron. And to specify: "In Aveyron, in the first quarter, cannabis seizures increased by + 600 % ( 915 kg), 151 drug traffickers were arrested and brought to justice (+43 %) and the number of deal points fell by – 44 %".

Three "Casino" threatened

#OCCITANIE. The French distributor Casino, which changed hands at the end of last March, presented to staff representatives this Wednesday, April 24, its reorganization plan which provides for between 1,293 and 3,267 job cuts at the national.

In detail, 1 293 positions will be eliminated within the group's headquarters functions, to which could be added, "failing to find buyers" up to 1974 positions in hypermarkets and supermarkets as well as in certain logistics platforms. Three stores are affected in Occitanie: Moissac (Tarn-et-Garonne), Toulouse Basso Cambo (Haute-Garonne), Montpellier Odysseum.

#MONTPELLIER. Transavia announced, this Thursday, April 25, three new international destinations from Montpellier: Istanbul , Constantine and Rabat.
