A hundred protesters were gathered, Saturday, in front of the montreal offices of the prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, to call for a permanent resident status for the “guardian angels” migrants and asylum-seekers.
NDP mp Alexandre Boulerice was also among the protesters.
“If people come to help us, we must be recognizing, we must help them and give them a status at a minimum”, claims the mp for Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie.
He asked the federal government to act.
“We want the Immigration minister uses his powers to give them a statute, if possible, a permanent resident, so that they can stay and work here”, asked Mr. Boulerice.
