New location for the market

The market has moved to the heart of the neighborhood.

New location for the Mas de Ville food market: it is now in the parking lot of Espace José-Castello, chemin du Pont-des-Iles, that it takes place on Wednesdays. It was previously held at Place de l’école André-Chamson.

This new open-air Nîmes market is due to celebrate its first anniversary soon. Its creation is the result of consultation between the City and the Mas de Ville neighborhood committee. It was thus born in September 2023 during a very festive inauguration. At the beginning of the summer, the stallholders decided, with the agreement of the municipality, to change location for better visibility. Open primarily to local food producers and artisans, it offers residents around ten locations. Present: a butcher-delicatessen, a cheese-cream maker, a fishmonger, a caterer, a farmer's wife, two greengrocers, an artisan baker-pastry chef and a seller of jams, sweets and artisanal chocolates.

This open-air market is now located in the heart of the Mas de Ville district near the Espace Castello. It is held every Wednesday morning from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
