Montpellier ranks first among cities for partying at night

#ENTERTAINMENT. This is necessarily a subjective ranking but it highlights that Montpellier remains a very dynamic city when it comes to partying. According to the Top10DesCasinos merchant site, Montpellier ranks first among "the best French cities for partying at night". To achieve this result, the site analyzed many criteria, such as the number of bars in town, the price of drinks (beer and wine), the cost of a taxi ride and the cost of public transport to get home. With a score of 85.19 out of 100, Clapas comes out on top ahead of Lille, Villeurbanne, Toulouse, Lyon and Paris. Of course, the site also lists the number of casinos nearby: Montpellier has five (compared to nine in Strasbourg and only eight in Paris, but also only one in Lille or Toulouse).

Storm alert: Gard placed on orange alert

#METEO. While the city of Marseille was already partly flooded following a major storm, Météo France placed twelve departments on orange alert on Wednesday. In Occitanie, only Gard is affected until at least Thursday morning. There could be cumulative peaks of 80 to 100 mm of precipitation or even up to 120-150 mm in a very short time. The Gard prefecture has announced particularly violent storms that could generate up to 60 to 70 mm per hour in the department.

Series: come and shoot with Bruno Salomone and Lucia Passaniti

#MONTPELLIER. A new police series that will be broadcast soon on France 3will be filmed in Montpellier and its surroundings during the months of September and October. Six in a stolen car with a minor at the wheel

#SÈTE. A lively evening on the Thau basin on the evening of Tuesday 3 to Wednesday 4 September. All this because of a chase involving almost all the police forces in the area. They were all on the tail of a car with six occupants on board who had decided to go visit family in the Île de Thau district. The arrest of the team revealed that the car had been stolen about two weeks ago in Paulhan and that the driver who had refused to comply was only 15 years old! The six occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and forced to provide explanations.
