After a two-year absence due to the pandemic, the New Year's Eve party will be back on Grande Allée in Quebec City.
The event will be held from December 28 to 31, 2022, confirmed in a decision by the executive committee of the City of Quebec.
Revelers will be able to enjoy four days of free entertainment. “On Grande Allée and in the Parc de la Francophonie, festive lighting, pop-up electro performances, a Ferris wheel and a winter village are offered to thousands of visitors from here and elsewhere. Everything is embellished, on December 31 in the evening at the Place de l'Assemblée-Nationale, by performances on stage of traditional and electro music as well as fireworks to mark the 12 strokes of midnight, ”indicates the summary.
The event is still in transition after the changing of the guard in 2019. Quebec City is providing $475,000 in grant, $160,000 in municipal services and $110,000 for the purchase of goods and services.
Last year, the event was held virtually and the City provided $110,000. ” The increase in the recommended financial aid is also part of the event relaunch”, explains the executive.
BLEUFEU is the organizer of the event . The activities will be free for all.
