NFL: the Texans have found their man
Houston Texans have hired DeMeco Ryans as head coach.
The Texas organization made the announcement on Tuesday. She awarded a six-year contract to the man who spent 10 seasons as a linebacker in the NFL.
After his career as an athlete, DeMeco was hired as the defensive quality manager for the NFL. San Francisco 49ers in 2017. He then served as the linebackers coach (2018-2020) and defensive coordinator (2021-2022) of the California formation.
This is a return for DeMeco to Houston, since he had started his playing career with the Texans (2006-2011). He then played for the Philadelphia Eagles (2012-2015).
The Texans showed Lovie Smith the way out after their disappointing 2022 season, they who maintained a record of 3 -13-1. It was the second time in as many years that the organization fired its pilot. David Culley suffered the ax in 2021.
Houston hasn't reached the playoffs since the 2019 campaign and has posted a combined record of 11-38-1 in his last three seasons.< /p>
