NHL: Oilers and Sharks close to an agreement for Erik Karlsson?

The Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks have reportedly resumed negotiations for a possible trade involving star defenseman Erik Karlsson.
The Network TSN reported on Saturday that there would be significant financial hurdles facing both teams before there is a deal. Still according to the same source, it would be the second time this season that the two clans have explored the possibility of an exchange involving the Swedish player.
Karlsson is currently in the fourth year of a eight years worth $92 million that he signed with the California team in 2019. His annual salary is $11.5 million until the 2026-2027 season.
