NHL: Pierre-Olivier Joseph was treated to quite a surprise

UPDATE DAY

Defender Pierre-Olivier Joseph was tricked by one or more Penguins teammates on Thursday.

The Penguins posted videos and photos of the joke on their Twitter account.

On leaving the team's training center, the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, in Cranberry, a suburb of Pittsburgh, we see the Quebecer from 23-year-old crosses rear Chad Ruhwedel, who tells him that his vehicle was filled with polystyrene cushioning beads, often used to protect objects in transport.

Joseph then walks to his car and finds it is overrun with wedging balls. Discouraged, he opens a door and the small white objects tumble down, covering his feet.

Teammates filmed the scene, laughing and mocking the former Charlottetown Islanders and Montreal Voltigeurs defenseman. Drummondville.

“But what did I do to people?” asks Joseph.

In a photo released by the Penguins, defenseman Kristopher Letang seems to find the joke very funny.
