100 % Quebec

The rest of the FCVQ program will be unveiled next week, but we already know that there will only be works from Quebec on the menu of the event, which will take place over four days, from September 8 to 11. , this year.

The decision to exclude international films, explains Mr. Landriau, was dictated by caution because of the pandemic.

“  It is also a symbolic gesture because it is first and foremost Quebec cinema that needs us and which has been affected by the cancellation of the festival in 2021. ”

The programmer says that even by limiting itself to the Quebec market, there is no shortage of choices to fill its schedule.

“We have premieres that were filmed before the pandemic and have not been released. I can already tell you that there is a world premiere of a Quebec film expected every day.  »
