Night work on the A709 near Montpellier: closures planned from Wednesday to Friday

Take precautions between Prés-d'Arènes and Zénith, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. 

From 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on the night of Wednesday 7 to Thursday 8 February between Montpellier south (Prés-d'Arènes) and Montpellier east (Zénith).

Same hours the next day, during the night from Thursday to Friday, but in the other direction, from Montpellier east to Montpellier south. 

Here are the closures and therefore the traffic difficulties which are announced in the coming days on the A709. This always with the aim of building the bridge over the motorway which will connect Odysseum to the Sud de France station, the bridge over which tram line 1 will pass at the start of 2025. ;

Diversions put in place

"The foundations and pier of the new bridge have been completed, and work will now focus on the banks of the highway, where the end supports of the new bridge will be built soon,” explains Vinci.

Detours will be put in place. In the direction of traffic which will remain open, the speed will be limited to 70 km/h in the construction zone.
