“Nighttime heatwave”: towards particularly hot nights this weekend in the south-east of France

The very high temperatures are not about to stop for this weekend in the south of France.

Although temperatures will not be as high as last week, the heatwave is not about to fade away. At the end of this week, the nights in particular will remain particularly hot, with temperatures of 22 to 25 °C at a minimum, according to The weather channel. It will therefore be a "nighttime heatwave"

The phenomenon particularly concerns the South-East of France and the Rhone Valley.

Disorders linked to the lack of sleep ?

These high night temperatures are considered difficult for the human body which requires a certain coolness to fall asleep. Ailments and health complications for people who are already weakened can occur in the event of lack of sleep linked to the heat, especially if the thermometer does not drop below 28 °C.

On this Wednesday, August 7, the departments of Hérault, Bouches-du-Rhône, Var, Haute-Garonne and Pyrénées-Orientales are already easily reaching 30 degrees.

While these temperatures will remain fairly stable in the days to come in the south-east of France, they should also rise in the middle Rhône valley, south of Ardèche and Drôme.
