Nîmes Olympique: after the precious victory against Versailles (1-0), the Crocos' notes

On his right side, Vincent Marcel tried, provoked and it ended up working, since he was decisive on Ali Abdallah's goal MIDI LIBRE – MIKAËL ANISSET

At 11 against 10 just before the break (40th), Nîmes continued to suffer in the second half but nevertheless managed to make the difference (1-0). The three points are in the bag and that is the most important thing.

Ngapandouentnbu (8) : This is already good news but NO has found its goalkeeper. Against Versailles, the goalkeeper on loan from OM assured and reassured everyone, especially in the air. Being the most visible player in your team is not necessarily a good sign, but it doesn't matter. Simon's handball, right down the middle, initiated the goal of Ali Abdallah's deliverance (52nd).

Authoritarian when he repelled two free kicks from Basque with his fists (53rd, 78th). Suffering a blow to the shoulder, he spent the last quarter of an hour gritting his teeth, which did not prevent him from still being imperious in added time, coming out on top (90th + 5).

The results of the 6th day and the National ranking

Labonne (5) : not having appeared in official competition for more than five months, the right-back had a ''client'' in the person of his ex-teammate, Mbemba. Vigilant and focused, the former Lorient player was barely able to express himself offensively, even if Marcel sometimes left him the corridor. A decent performance. He was incisive until the end, sneaking into the area to cross and proving that he still had legs (85th).

Diouf (5): after a match on the bench and one out of the squad, he was making his second start in a row. Even if we have not yet found the sovereign central defender of last season, like this recovery that he unscrews, without any pressure from the opposition (24th), the former Versaillais did the job. Author of a saving return in the surface, blocking an attempt by Guirassy (90th).

Mendy (cap., 5) : the central crocodile axis was called upon during the first twenty minutes, which is never a good sign. Once the pressure had passed, NO went up a notch, the captain was less exposed. After the break, with the Crocos playing with a numerical superiority, he was even less worried.

Beneddine (6) : offered himself in his corridor as soon as he had the opportunity but, he too, defended more than attacked during the initial act. His free kick wrapped from the left, full axis at twenty meters, found the way to the net without the cuff of an inspired Rénot in his goal (42nd). Still striking, he sees his shot blocked by the FCV rearguard (45th +3).

Doukansy (5): once again a starter, the Nîmes Olympique sentinel was able to impose his physicality, at the start of the match, in midfield, but he did not improve the first passes enough, sometimes due to a lack of speed. A kind of suspicious nonchalance about certain actions.

Picouleau (unrated): Not very radiant until then in the middle, the vice-captain croco was hit in the right knee during a collision at the half-hour mark, while committing to tackle. Had to give up his place to Akkal (36th, score: 6). The former Puy player made an interesting entrance, fluidifying the midfield and making himself available. Is even very close to scoring his goal, a Versailles return on the goal line prevents him from doing so (55th).

Marcel (6): a few arabesques, as always, with his left foot and, finally… an assist, serving Ali Abdallah on the crocodile goal (53rd). Often available, more than valuable in keeping the ball, the midfielder finally showed himself to be truly decisive. Replaced by El Hamri (83rd), who almost took advantage of a misunderstanding in the FCV defense, his attempt going along the goal line (87th).

Mexico (6): At the start of the match, he took his place in support of Ali Abdallah, in an attacking midfield role. Not hesitating to project himself, he hesitates too much when it comes to shooting, suffering an opposing defensive comeback (29th). He has gained momentum over the minutes and we are starting to recognize the player seen last season. In the second half, he kept this influence, still offering himself as much in sequences.

Ali Abdallah (6): positioned in place of Abdeldjelil at the center forward position, the striker loaned by Strasbourg had the first big opportunity for Nîmes, missing his shot in a good position in the area, the ball flying over the goal of the Parisian goalkeeper Rénot (28th).

Before delivering the Crocodiles when he took advantage of a restart from Simon, then an offering from Marcel in the race, ending up winning his duel with Rénot (1-0, 52nd). In the same minute, he eliminated his defender with an oriented control in full flight, crosses for Mexico but the Martinican hesitates too much.

Camara (5): recovered from his lumbago which had deprived him of the trip to Concarneau, the Franco-Guinean striker did what he could, always as generous as he was messy. His close-range shot, on a free kick from Bennedine pushed back by Rénot, is also sent back by the Versailles porter (41st). He stumbles twice more on the FCV defense (55th). Replaced by Abdeldjelil (61st), who participated in the collective work, not hesitating to come back to defend on a final corner, clearing his camp (90th + 4).
