American scientists have found in the exclusion zone a variety of rare animals.
Scientists from the University of Georgia was struck by the diversity of animals living in the exclusion zone in Ukraine.

Scavengers are not the only animals in the exclusion zone. In 2018 here counted about 300 stray dogs. After the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant the locals were forbidden to take Pets.
