Nolan Patrick could miss the next campaign

Doom continues to hang on the Vegas Golden Knights, who may see another player's name appear on the long-term injured list before the season even begins: Nolan Patrick.

The striker could even miss the entire 2022-2023 campaign according to journalist Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Sun. The 23-year-old is said to be struggling with the same upper-body injury that has plagued him since last season.

The former 2017 second overall pick of the Philadelphia Flyers won't does not know the expected start of his career, he who has only 77 points in 222 games. He had also been involved in a three-team trade last offseason. In his first season in Nevada, Patrick blacked the scoresheet only seven times, taking part in only 25 games.

So the miserable summer of Golden Knights continue, they who had to trade Evgenii Dadonov to the Montreal Canadiens in return for the contract of Shea Weber, also on the long-term injured list, in order to respect the salary cap. Max Pacioretty and Dylan Coghlan were sent to the Carolina Hurricanes in return for future considerations, for the same reason.

Most recently, they also placed goaltender Robin Lehner's name on the disabled list at long term. By adding Patrick's name to it, they would suddenly find themselves with $6.2 million in payroll relief.
