Lovers of literature can breathe: the edition 2020 of the Salon du livre de Montréal (SLM) is maintained for the month of November. The exact dates of the next SLM, organized around the impact of books in our lives, however, are not yet known.
The organizers have announced, Thursday, to important changes because of the current situation. Always expected at the Palais des Congrès, the next big fair literary will be held without the booths and without the main exhibition hall. By contrast, many activities for the public will be presented.
“In these extremely challenging times for the book industry and more widely for the cultural industry, it appears to us essential that the Lounge should continue its mission in 2020,” expresses Olivier Gougeon, director-general of the SLM, in a press release.
Thanks to an offensive virtual, it will also be possible to attend the various events – such as discussions, round tables, performances and master classes – on-line.
In addition, the SLM will take the air. Cultural places montrealers will welcome the appointments like meetings and intimate with authors, public readings or story time as a family.
