MONTREAL – The shooting of the fifth season of “The break” will resume on Monday, with newcomers within the team of actors, including Isabelle Blais, Pierre-Luc Brillant, Chantal Fontaine and Sylvain Marcel.
In fact, several new characters come onto the scene in Sainte-Alice-de-Rimouski this fall, while the centre of The vista house is now a secure custody for young offenders, that Noémie (Anick Lemay) will return to the field as a social worker and that the family of Astrid (Eleonore Loiselle) will be struck by a great tragedy.
Isabelle Blais went on to portray Kim Labonte, sister of Macha (Bénédicte Décary) and aunt Astrid, recently installed at St. Alice to move closer to his lover, Stephane (Pierre-Luc Brillant), a shrimp boat who lives in Matane.
Chantal Fontaine will slip into the skin of Gisele Bayeur, new superior of the Mary-Louise (Bianca Gervais), while The Breakaway will have a new director, Thomas Bourgoin, played by Sylvain Marcel, who advocates an approach a bit military in its functions.
Marie-Eve Beaulieu (a psychiatrist at The break), Steve Gagnon (new resident of St. Alice, which pincera for Jade, aka Charlotte Aubin), Sam-Éloi Girard (new resident of The Escaped, convicted for manslaughter), Schelby Jean-Baptiste, a social worker at The Breakaway), Mathieu Drouin (cousin of Astrid) and Victoria Bouchard (daughter of Kim and cousin of Astrid) will be also of the distribution of the series, produced by Amalga and Quebecor’s Content, and holding, on average, 1 383 000 viewers to VAT in 2019 and 2020.
“The Breakaway” will return to its previous time slot of Monday, 20 pm, from the month of October next.
