La rue n’est pas le moyen le plus judicieux, et le plus efficace, pour débattre du projet politique porté par Michel Barnier, c’est à présent à l’Assemblée que se joue la suite de l’histoire.

The left is right to choke itself, by appointing a Prime Minister from a party that won
5.4% in the July legislative elections, Emmanuel Macron is making fun of the French.

And that will leave lasting traces in the ballot boxes. Nearly six out of ten voters say the same thing in the Elabe poll published yesterday.

However, the left is using the wrong tool to express its anger. The street is not the most judicious or effective way to debate the political project supported by Michel Barnier; the rest of the story is now being played out in the Assembly.

It is in Parliament that MPs have to fight and make their voices heard on the country's essential issues, those that citizens consider to be priorities: purchasing power, security, migration policy, health, etc.

This requires in-depth work by the various blocs that will have to push for measures that are not only concrete but also useful and coherent. Cultivating chaos and confusion will lead to an impasse. No one can afford it.
