Olivier Biscaye's editorial: "Farmers no longer want to be lulled by illusions, words, images and political comedies"

Who has the hand, France or Europe ? Where will the solutions come from, from the Minister of Agriculture Marc Fesneau or from the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen ?

To respond to the farmers' protest, the government must specify who is in charge of decisions, and within what reasonable timetable.

Political competition cannot be fought on the backs of land workers, no one will accept it

Farmers do not need compassion, but rather concrete and sustainable actions to give themselves perspective. As they no longer want to be lulled by illusions, words, images and political comedies.

Political competition cannot be played on the backs of the workers of the land, no one will accept it, the first interested as much as the French, as a whole attached to agriculture and to its actors whose self-sacrifice they know as well as the permanence of efforts and adaptations.

Their movement is not a complaint but a signal that the evil of despair is deep.
