On Air: the largest gym in Montpellier opens its doors at Odysseum

Nicolas Deljarry opened his 6th fitness room under the On Air brand in Odysseum. The young entrepreneur from Montpellier opened other rooms in Gard and Hérault. Midi Libre – MICHAEL ESDOURRUBAILH

Nicolas Deljarry is investing on the site in its 6th franchised room On Air. The vast Odysseum edutainment site thus records the arrival of a new brand, located right next to Décathlon.

When the vast Odysseum entertainment and commercial site opened its doors in September 2009, it was one of the few unallocated spaces. At the end of the shopping center, in the direct vicinity of the Zénith roundabout and right next to the Décathlon store, there was, in fact, still an uninvested plot of land.

And, inevitably, over time, it was the subject of all speculation as to the identity of the future brand that would be established there. At one point, the name of the Pourcels was even put forward, to install their new Jardin des sens there, around an ambitious project.

One of the largest On Air franchisees

Since Monday, June 24, the question no longer arises. And for good reason: the On Air sports and fitness brand opens its doors today. It is even the largest, in terms of surface area, dedicated space in the city. “We have invested in a 3,000 m2 building, with a 2,000 m2 sports area”, explains Nicolas Deljarry, who is setting up his 6th On Air gym in the region.

For this new investment, the young business leader has seen big. His new gym has big ambitions, which the national On Air Fitness group, created in 2019 and of which he is one of the largest franchisees in the south of France, has joined. “The Odysseum room is an evolution in the development of the On Air concept. It illustrates what it will be tomorrow”.

Its 5 rooms welcome 17,000 members

And a tour through the different spaces allows you to grasp all the ambition that has been invested there. “Each space is dedicated to the best machines in the training category, such as Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, Eleiko or Gym 80”. It depends on the sport or bodybuilding goals of each member.

The target ? “18-25 year olds”

Its new investment also aims to respond, from above, to strong competition in the Montpellier region. "Our core target is clearly 18-25 year olds. It’s Instagrammable", says the business manager. Many brands have opened their doors in recent years. On Air fits into a context of certain concentration, with, in particular, on Odysseum, the presence of the Fitness Park brand, "the only real competitor&quot ;. It must be said, as Nicolas Deljarry points out, that "France was behind, compared to the European market, in this area fitness rooms".

Today, the 5 rooms opened in Gard and Hérault by Nicolas Deljarry boast more than 17,000 members. "To get an idea of the audience, at the time the Run Up Group welcomed 15 000 in around fifteen theaters".& ;nbsp; The prime location of Odysseum should allow it to further increase its customer portfolio.
