Hexis, le spécialiste du film adhésif, va gagner, à Frontignan, près de 2 400 m2 de bâti, ce qui va lui permettre de rationaliser sa production.
At the end of 2024, the Hexis company, located on the heights of the Etang de Thau in Frontignan, will be able to have a new building of almost 2,400 m2 on its historic site. It has already been several months since rue Pierre-Lépine which serves this area was moved a few meters towards the North-East to allow the installation of this building.
Reorganization of the site
"Of the 37,771 m2 of total surface area, we will therefore have 14,939 m2 of built space", slips Guillaume Leonardon , the QSE director (for Quality, Safety, Environment), at this major player in the manufacturing of adhesive PVC films. This construction, only on the ground floor, will open the door to an entire reorganization of the site. Cutting, storage, and even shipping will therefore be grouped in the new wing.
Three platforms instead of one
"This will optimize our production", points out Christophe Inigo, the deputy commercial director of Hexis. Less transported from one point to another, film reels are, for example, less likely to be damaged. & quot; And then, instead of having a single loading/unloading dock, we will move to three in this building which will meet all the new standards", continues Guillaume Leonardon. "And to further improve employee safety, there will be new machines".
Launched into recycling
After extensive research, Hevis has just launched a recycling process for its plastic films and those of its customers. "We recover all scraps and old films& ;quot;, explains Guillaume Leonardo."We have finally found a service provider who can transform them to give it new life". Previously, these elements were transformed into heat. "We are one of the first producers of adhesive film to do so", underlines Christophe Inigo.
3 M€ investment
"It's a heavy investment", continues Christophe Inigo. "This represents 3 M€. There are not many companies around the Thau basin that invest as much. Moreover, Dréal (regional management of the #39;environment, development and housing), the town hall of Frontignan as well as the agglomeration of Sète were very sensitive to this by giving their agreements, according to their skills, within the minimum legal period . Because who says heavy investment, often says job creation. Hexis will see how much once he gets his bearings in his new space.
