On the last day of the transfer window, Montpellier confirms the arrival of central defender Modibo Sagnan

Le MHSC a officialisé jeudi matin le transfert en provenance d'Utrecht (Pays-Bas) du défenseur central Modibo Sagnan.
Montpellier confirmed Thursday morning the transfer from Utrecht (Netherlands) of central defender Modibo Sagnan. The young defender (24 years old) was recruited to compensate for the departure of Maxime Estève to Burnley, which is about to be finalized. Trained in Lens, this athletic defender (1.87 m) has been playing in the Netherlands since 2022 after a transfer from Real Sociedad (Spain). revealed in the Dutch championship taking part in 37 matches with Utrecht in the last eighteen months.
He was also on the French Olympic team, with Téji Savanier, in Tokyo in 2021.
Qualified for Rennes
Sagnan will compete with Becir Omeragic, Christopher Jullien and Malian international "Kiki" Kouyaté to occupy the three places in central defense.
