One last week for Gildor Roy at “La tour”

Gildor Roy would have liked the adventure of The Tower to continue next fall because he had “a lot of fun” on the set with his “neighbors” Hélène Bourgeois Leclerc and Alexandre Barrette, as well as with the many guests received at his home since last September.
After just one year in his “condo” bought from Patrick Huard, the friendly big guy must already pack his boxes and move on to another project. “It's fun to meet people, to chat with them, to learn about business, there is no best job in the world, but hey, I understand the circumstances,” he told QMI Agency.
“I think that in the package of cuts he has at TVA, they had to choose to cut showswhich are more expensive than others. And there's the fact that TV is changing. People tape Indefensible, STAT and a whole bunch of other stuff, and at some point they have to listen to those shows. It's fun having multiple platforms and all, but it self-cannibalizes. But it's okay, I understand, I don't blame anyone.”
After six years on the set of District 31 in the skin of Commander Chiasson , Gildor Roy saw in The Toweran opportunity to do a “reset” and reconnect with interviews.
“I had gone for the glory, I really would have continued,” he said, adding that The tower allowed him to reconnect with many personalities that he had not had the chance to meet for a while.

For his last week in The Tower, Gildor Roy welcomes this Monday the great Ginette Reno, who launched in quick succession her autobiography Ginette and the album C’est tout moi. “She wasn't supposed to sing, but there is a piano, and when Christian Marc Gendron sat down at the piano, Ginette gave us quite a show!”
Tuesday, it will be the turn of Patrice L'Écuyer, Mélanie Maynard and Mike Ward to dine at Gildor, before Chantal Machabée and Pierre-Yves Lord on Wednesday.

Finally, on Thursday, for the grand finale, Alexandre Barrette and Hélène Bourgeois Leclerc will be alongside Gildor. “I know I'm going to sing in the finale, I know something is going to happen that hasn't happened in three years, it's going to be thrilling for the viewers. There will surely be guests, but my guests as such will be Alexandre and Hélène, because we never bothered to really talk, just us. I'll tell them what I think of them!” (laughs)
Several projects on his agenda
At the end of the summer, Gildor Roy will shoot a film, then his agent negotiates his participation in a TV series shot this fall. He cannot talk about the two projects for the time being. He also wants to take advantage of the lightening in his schedule to take part in shows like La belle tour, on TVA, and devote himself to music, a passion that has never ceased. live.
“I'm privileged, because the phone started ringing the day after the announcement of the end of La tour“, said the artist who will celebrate his 63rd birthday on May 11.
Gildor would like to play in a project tinged with horror and suspense, and even camp a drag queen. “I am due to play a drag queen and tell stories to children! (laughs)”, mentioned the one who has already dressed up as a “big beefy redhead” in Karmina 2.
