A couple of Florida has received a fine from the Ontario provincial Police (OPP) for not having complied with the 14 days of quarantine regulations after their arrival in Canada.
The two individuals between the ages of 68 and 70 years of age have crossed the border at Fort Erie on 3 July, in order to get to their seasonal residence in East Ferris.
On July 9, the detachment of the OPP in North Bay has received a call from the public health Agency of Canada asking them to investigate the couple to see if it is in compliance with the law on the quarantine of the municipality of East Ferris.
Not respecting the containment, the two Americans have received a notice of violation, the provincial accompanied by a fine of $ 1000. The OPP has also indicated that the offenders were supervised during their period of isolation.
