|MISE À DAY
Quebec shone at the 95th Academy Awards thanks to Montrealer Adrien Morot who won the prize for best makeup and hairstyles for his work in the film The Whale.  ;
While going to pick up his prize on stage, the Montrealer thanked his make-up team but also the Canadian actor Brendan Fraser, with whom he collaborated closely for this film. It was indeed Adrien Morot who designed the make-up and the magnifying prostheses that allowed actor Brendan Fraser to slip into the skin of a man weighing more than 600 pounds.
Remember that this is the second year in a row that a Quebec artist has taken to the Dolby Theater stage to win an Oscar, after Patrice Vermette, who was awarded the prize for best artistic direction last year for his work in Dune. The science fiction film by Denis Villeneuve had collected a total of six Oscars.
