A motorcyclist over the age of sixty years lost his life in a road traffic collision involving two other vehicles Thursday morning, in Lochaber, in Outaouais.
A little before 10 pm, police officers of the Sûreté du Québec were called to go to near the 503, route 148, where a collision involving three vehicles, including a motorcycle, had just happened.
According to initial information gathered by authorities, the driver of a Dodge Journey was travelling westbound when he reportedly lost control of her vehicle.
The motorcyclist who led them in the opposite direction would not have been able to avoid it, just as the driver of another vehicle.
Suffering from very serious injuries, the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital, where his death has unfortunately been found.
The occupants of two other vehicles involved in the accident were not injured.
Alcohol and speed are not involved in this collision, said police.
A mechanical inspection should be performed on the vehicle at the origin of the incident in the coming days.
