THREE-RIVERS – The outbreak of the COVID-19 that affects one out of ten students at the school Louis-de-France to Trois-Rivières could be a part-time employee who was also in a CHSLD.
The Commission scolaire du Chemin-du-Roy has confirmed that a member of the school staff has worked in the health network. Is this the source of the contamination? It has not been confirmed. It would be a successor who would have worked part-time in a ltc facility.
The commission carried out certain checks every day from the staff going into the schools, but as of Thursday morning, we added a question to the questionnaire that all must complete. We will now ask them if they have worked in the health network or in another place of work in the last 14 days.
On the side of public Health, it said not able to make a link between the outbreak cases in the school and the fact that an employee has worked in a ltc facility.
The parents are worried, but trust the leadership of the school.
At the school Louis-de-France, ten students and one staff member have been positive. They are all in quarantine until the 15th of June.
