The day camp Vacation Club Youth that takes place in the secondary school High-Town of Granby has three cases of COVID-19. The toll could rise over the next few hours.
For the moment, the three facilitators have received a positive diagnosis and the other four are not infected. The day camp is still waiting for four other outcomes.
Although the children and facilitators of the camp day are considered at low risk of contamination, the Town of Granby has taken the decision to temporarily close the camp, Thursday, and Friday.
For the moment, 11 animators have undergone a screening test. The CIUSSS of the eastern Townships-CHUS is to establish a clinical screening mobile on Friday 10 July.
Among the new sanitary measures, wearing a mask will be mandatory for all workers in the day camp and for all the children in the second age. In addition, each group will be divided into a bubble of 4 to 6 children.
The outbreak does not relate to the other seven day camps in the City of Granby.
