MONTREAL – parc Jean-Drapeau, located on île Sainte-Hélène, will open its pool complex, Saturday, at the same time as the start of the construction holiday.
The swimming pool is recreational, the diving pool and the swimming pool of the competition, reserved for training or practice of sports such as water polo, will resume the service after more than three months of inactivity.
The ability of the swimming pool complex has been largely reduced in order to comply with the rules of social distancing, while the number of people with access to the site is increased from 1200 to 169.
“Swimmers should arrive at the pool complex, already dressed in their swimsuit and be pre-fitted with a life jacket, as required, because the dressing room as well as the equipment loan system will not be available”, reads the press release.
A time slot should be reserved in the morning or in the afternoon, and an interval of one hour is expected between these two periods in order to disinfect the swimming pools.
Bookings to the swimming pool at parc Jean-Drapeau began Thursday.
