La colère se lit à l’entrée cette école du Mas de Mingue.
Une manifestation de parents d’élèves a eu devant l’école maternelle Casanova du Mas de Mingue à Nîmes ce lundi 9 septembre en matinée.
Parents of students at the Casanova school in Mas de Mingue, in Nîmes, demonstrated this Monday, September 9, early in the morning, in front of the entrance to the school to protest against the closure of a senior class.
“A class closes a few days after the start of the school year, even though we had drawn up a project at the school council meeting last June. Everything falls through. It's incomprehensible because we are in a priority neighborhood with children with disabilities", confides Maeva, one of the protesters of the day.
Online petition
The parents of students launched an online petition on change.org with the description of the situation: "The class was announced as maintained last June. The classes are indeed split: we are going from 3 classes of 10, 10 and 9 students to 2 classes of 14 and 15 students including 6 children with disabilities accompanied by AESH. The class size is not adapted to the capacity of the students. The neighborhood is enriched with housing under construction, suggesting new registrations during the year. Why then close this class a few days after the start of the school year?? The parents are angry and feel abandoned."
The parents of students announce the arrival of representatives of the academy this Monday at 5 p.m. at the Casanova school.
