Les bars et restaurants des îles de la Cité et Saint-Louis à Paris seront fermés le 26 juillet, jour de la cérémonie d’ouverture des Jeux olympiques qui se déroulera sur la Seine, a annoncé lundi la préfecture de police (PP).

"The owners or operators of drinking establishments, restaurants and fixed or mobile establishments selling take-out food assembled and prepared on site located on Île de la Cité and Île Saint -Louis will have to close their establishment on Friday July 26", writes the PP in a press release.

326 000 spectators are expected

Les "take-out businesses installed on the high platforms for the festivities and those carrying out take-out sales of drinks on public roads", will be able to remain open, the same source specifies. The two islands are also part of the anti-terrorist security perimeter which will come into force on July 18 and access to which will be authorized on presentation of a "gaming pass& ;quot; supporting a QR Code, after an administrative investigation.

Some 326 000 spectators – 104,000 paid places on the low platforms, 222,000 free places on the high platforms – are expected to attend the opening ceremony on the Seine which will see the delegations of athletes parade on several boats, from the Austerlitz bridge and to the Trocadéro.
