The Yves-du-Manoir stadium, located in Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine), was inaugurated this Tuesday, March 19, 129 days before the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. 100 years ago , during the first games hosted by Paris in 1924, this stadium was the scene of the opening ceremony and the athletics events.

1000 places and several training grounds

Even if it will play a supporting role this year, the stadium will undoubtedly attract the curious with its 1000-seat stand and its two brand new synthetic pitches in one color blue that catches the eye. It will host field hockey events but is equipped with a solid set of equipment for the future: a weights room, three rugby fields, four football fields, a new athletics track.

This inauguration is an immense satisfaction", welcomed Tony Estanguet, president of the organizing committee of the Games, accompanied by Georges Siffredi, president of the Hauts-de department -Seine, from the Minister of Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéra and the president of the Ile-de-France Region Valérie Pécresse.
