Ce lundi 13 mai, le passage de la flamme est certes un événement, mais il va entraîner certaines perturbations.

Public transport impacted, traffic cut off, parking prohibited and closed car parks… the passing of the Olympic flame will have a strong impact on the daily lives of Montpellier residents in terms of travel….

Tramways impacted

For line 3:

– from approximately 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: line 3 will end at Mosson. Juvignac station will not be served.

– from approximately 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.: line 3 will end at Saint-Denis. The Juvignac, Mosson, Celleneuve, Pilory, Hôtel du Département, Pergola, Tonnelles, Jules Guesde, Astruc, Les Arceaux and Plan Cabanes stations will not be served.

– from approximately 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.: line 3 will end at Place Carnot. The Juvignac, Mosson, Celleneuve, Pilory, Hôtel du Département, Pergola, Tonnelles, Jules Guesde, Astruc, Les Arceaux, Plan Cabanes, Saint-Denis, Observatoire and Gare Saint Roch stations will not be served.

For line 4:

– from approximately 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.: line 4 will be diverted in both directions by Léon Blum. The Observatoire, Saint Guilhem, Peyrou, Albert 1er, Louis Blanc, Corum, Les Aubes and Pompignane stations will not be served. The Gare République station will be served at the temporary Gare Ferry station.

– approximately 6 p.m.-7 p.m.: line 4 will be suspended and no stations will be served. Lines 1 and 2 will operate normally, although slight delays are expected on line 1 as the procession passes. Be careful, buses are also impacted.

Bus

Line 9: the line will be deviated in both directions all day Monday, May 13. The Pont Juvénal and Place de l'Europe stops will not be served.

– Line 16: the line will be deviated in both directions all day Monday, May 13. The Pont Juvénal and Place de l'Europe stops will not be served.

– Line 51: the line will end at the Saint Michel stop (Avenue de la Pompignane) all day from Monday May 13. The Pont Juvénal and Place de l'Europe stops will not be served. 4

– Line 10:the line will end at the Hippolyte Rech stop from approximately 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The stops Charles Flahaut, La Pile, Saint Roch, Doria, Paladilhe, Glycines, Avenue de l'agriculture, Louvain, Erables, Las Sorbes, Saint Gabriel, Espérance, Las Cazes, Saint Clément, Belvédère, Tonnelles, Petit Bard , Marie Curie, Renaudel and Celleneuve will not be served.

– Line 7: the line will end at the Pous de la Sers stop from approximately 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Maison des sports, La Pile and Doria stops will not be served.

– Line 6: the line will end at the La Gaillarde stop from approximately 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Collège Claudel, Sainte Thérèse, Paladilhe and Doria stops will not be served.

– Line 8: the line will be suspended from approximately 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. No stops will be served.

– Line 11: the line will be interrupted between Rondelet and Garcia Lorca from approximately 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Gare Saint Roch, Henri René, Frédéric Bazille, Place Carnot, Cité Mion, Iris, Frédéric Fabrège, Lucullus and Cité de l'arme stops will not be served.

– Line 17: the line will end at Rondelet from approximately 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Gare Saint Roch stop will not be served.

Other bus lines will run normally, even if delays are expected due to the postponement of automobile traffic.

As for the lines serving the municipalities of the metropolis:  

– Line 25 will be diverted from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Saturne, Juvignac, Récantou, La Plaine, Rivière, Eglantiers, Luminaire, Marjories, Valat de la Fosse and Juvignac Route de Saint-Georges stops will not be served.

– Lines 34, 40 and 42 will be diverted from approximately 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Mosson stop will not be served.

Roads closed two hours before

Also be careful when hitting the road. "Traffic will be blocked two hours before so that the security system can be put in place", adds Marjorie Ghizoli, the interdepartmental police director national.

Vehicle parking prohibited

Vehicle parking will be prohibited on the entire torch relay route until Monday, May 13, 2020 h

– the Père Louis parking lot will be closed until Tuesday, May 14 at 12 p.m.

– rue Poseidon will be closed this Monday, May 13 at 9 p.m.

– the Piraeus quay will be closed (from the Aphrodite footbridge to rue du Moulin de Semalen) until Tuesday May 14 at 12 h

– the bicycle parking lots located at Espace Philippe IV de Valois and rue des Étuves will be closed this Monday, May 13 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

– parking will be prohibited on the Jacques Cartier counter-alley in its portion between rue Poseidon and rue de l’Acropole in front of the Angelotti Olympic swimming pool until Monday May 13 midnight

– parking will be prohibited on rue de l’Acropole along its entire length until Monday May 13 midnight< /p>

– parking will be prohibited on the side alley of Boulevard de l’Aéroport International to the right of the parking spaces located between rue de l’Acropole and rue Léon Blum until Monday, May 13 at midnight

– parking will be prohibited in the parking lot of the Maison de la Poésie Jean Joubert until Monday May 13 midnight

Car parks closed

– Impact on the Foch car park: access closed from 12 p.m. Exits possible via rue de l’Université except between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., when the convoy passes.

– Impact on the Arc de Triomphe car park: closure of access and exits from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Vehicle exits prohibited during this period.

– The P+Tram Mosson will be inaccessible from approximately 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

– The St-Roch car park will not be accessible via the Sète bridge from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Access via Rue Eberhart will remain possible.

– The Comédie car park will be inaccessible via Bd. Victor Hugo from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Access by Sarrail will remain possible.

– Access to the Town Hall car park will only be possible from the top of Avenue Germaine-Tillion.
