Paris 2024 Olympic Games: “We are rather in favor of them going there”, Pierre Sage (Lyon) reassuring concerning the OL players for the Games

While Stade Rennais was reluctant about sending players to the Olympic Games, Pierre Sage, the OL coach, was rather supportive this Thursday.

"For a club called Olympique Lyonnais, it would be a shame if the players did not participate in the Olympic Games." Pierre Sage had fun at a press conference, raising the possibility of sending Lyon players there. "We are rather in favor of them going there" announced the 44-year-old coach.

It is true that for several weeks, certain clubs have publicly shown their reluctance. Starting with Real Madrid, and more recently, Stade Rennais, which announced it yesterday, through its Sports Director, Florian Maurice.
