The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games proved once again that Paris is the capital of fashion. The dresses of four great music divas have joined the collection of La Galerie Dior, the museum of the fashion house.
Four of the must-have outfits from the Paris Olympic Games ceremony are on display at La Galerie Dior, which is located on the elegant Avenue Montaigne, bringing together major designers, jewelers and restaurants.
Satin and drape
Until September 30, 2024, Celine Dion's dresses , Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamura and Axelle Saint-Cirel will be able to be admired up close in the Gallery, reveals Le Monde. These divas of the song marked the opening ceremony with the spectacle they offered us, but also thanks to their custom-made pieces by Dior.
Lady Gaga opened the ceremony in a satin bustier and pink feathers, inspired by a cabaret dress. Axelle Saint-Cirel, the mezzo-soprano – who sang the national anthem La Marseillaise – in a draped dress in white silk tulle, transforming into a fluttering flag in the tricolor colors of our country.
Silk and gold
Aya Nakamura showed up in a “total gold” dress and Olympian, Spartans with golden feet and hair, surrounded by the Republican Guard, all offering a moment of grace and flavor, playing on the gap between the Franco-Malian and the seriousness of the gendarmes just in front of the French Academy.
Céline Dion appeared at the end of the evening to close the ceremony in a silver silk dress strewn with pearls. She “overcame many trials to be there tonight. Céline, it's wonderful to see you singing again”, reacted Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister.
These exhibitions will allow fashion enthusiasts, artists and even the Olympic Games to continue to enjoy this sporting and festive period. But also for the Dior fashion house to continue to shine thanks to a collaboration between the LVMH group and the Paris 2024 organizing committee.
