The French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) has officially validated the selections of Rénelle Lamote (Montpellier Athletic Méditerranée Métropole) in the 800 meters and Jean-Marc Pontvianne (Entente Nîmes Athlétisme) in the triple jump.

They did not shine at the French Championships and said they were worried about their selection for the Olympic Games. But it’s official: Montpellier Rénelle Lamote and Nîmes Jean-Marc Pontvianne will be present in Paris.

The Olympic Selection Advisory Commission, an organ of the CNOSF, has officially validated their selections. Lamote, who had achieved the Olympic minimums last year, remained awaiting a decision to validate his participation and no longer had his destiny in his hands. "I hope they understand that I’ve had injuries and it's been complicated, but I'll be in good shape", she said after the French championships in Angers.

Jean-Marc Pontvianne will also be there

The Nîmes also had the pleasure of learning this Sunday of their official selection for the Games. Sixth in the last French championships, Pontvianne owes its salvation to a jump of 17.13 meters achieved at the start of the season.
