The BLMA captain will participate in her first Olympic Games. The leader Carla Leite, the winger Migna Touré and the strong winger Marie-Paule Fopposi are, for their part, the last three players excluded from the French women's basketball team for the Olympic Games of Paris (July 26-August 11), the French Federation announced on Monday.

Leïla Lacan (20 years old) was preferred to Leite (also 20 years old) to accompany Marine Fauthoux and the Latto-Montpellieraine Romane Bernies as leader.

Inside, coach Jean-Aimé Toupane has notably selected the young Dominique Malonga (18 years old, 1.98 m). The Blues, bronze medalists at the 2021 Olympics, continue their preparation on Friday against Serbia in Décines-Charpieu (Rhône), before facing Japan and China on July 19 and 21 in Reims.
