Paris 2024 Olympics: “The impression that they have just returned from war”, an American skateboarder criticizes the quality of the Olympic medals

Médaille de bronze sur l’épreuve de skateboard, l’Américain Nyjah Huston a critiqué, sur les réseaux sociaux, la qualité des médailles remises aux athlètes lors des Jeux Olympiques.

Whether it was the disappointment of missing out on gold by two points or not, American skateboarder Nyjah Huston was pretty upset about the quality of his bronze medal. And he made that clear on his social media.

“These medals look great when they're brand new, but after wearing them against my skin and getting a little sweaty or letting my friends wear them over the weekend, they're clearly not as good quality as you'd think,” he wrote in a post spotted by Le Parisien. He even adds that her trinket "gives the impression that she has just returned from the war."
