MONTREAL – major discounts on parking will be available at the center-city of Montréal to encourage people to go shop there.
As of Monday, the Complex Desjardins, the first hour of parking will be free on the days of the week on presentation of proof of purchase of $ 25 or more at the traders who are in the building, and the second hour will be available for purchases of $ 50 or more.
In the evenings and on the weekends, the parking will be half price of normal rates.
The congress will offer a discount of 40 % at any time on its parking lot.
“I would like to thank these two great partners who have not hesitated to offer their collaboration to the Town to help the merchants and enhance the experience of those who have come to the city centre by car. I invite Montrealers and Montreal to visit the merchants in the hall of the Palace of congress and of the Complexe Desjardins, which suffer greatly from the current situation,” said the mayor of Montréal, Valérie Plant.
Recall that from 27 July, wearing a mask will be mandatory in enclosed public places in Montreal, which includes the shops.
