MONTREAL – The parking lots of the parks of Mont Royal, Maisonneuve, Jarry, Frederick-Back, René-Lévesque, parc-nature de l’île-de-la-Visitation and the île Notre-Dame will open progressively from Thursday, announced the City of Montreal on Wednesday night.
The parking lot of the parc-nature du Cap-Saint-Jacques and parc La Fontaine will remain, meanwhile, are closed until further notice.
Ordered at the beginning of the month of may, the closure of the parking areas of some parks in montreal was for the purpose to avoid large gatherings and to maintain the rules of distancing physical in public places.
Despite the gradual recovery of activity in Montreal, the two meters of distance still apply to persons not resident at the same address. Wearing a mask is recommended when the rule may be applied.
