MONTREAL | the intense heat of The last few days has convinced the management of the integrated Center for academic health and social services (CIUSSS) of the West Island of Montréal to transfer the 13 patients in the mobile hospital located in the Jacques-Lemaire Arena to a unit red of the Hospital of LaSalle, dedicated to the patients of the COVID-19.
Technical issues related to ventilation systems and air conditioning as well as the triggering of false alarms smoke detectors have also motivated the decision of the CIUSSS. The agency has specified, by way of a press release, “that in no case the safety of patients or employees has been put in play.”
A team of CIUSSS of the West-of-the-Island-of-Montreal has been in charge of communicating with the families of the patients who are the subject of a transfer.
The CIUSSS hopes to eventually be able to reuse the mobile hospital in case of need.
