Penguins: Jeff Petry could be traded again

Penguins: Jeff Petry could be traded again< /p> UPDATE DAY

Traded by the Montreal Canadiens to the Pittsburgh Penguins last summer, defender Jeff Petry could change his address again.

It's Pittsburgh Hockey Now reporter Dan Kingerski reported Tuesday.

“He's available,” said a Western Conference executive.

Petry, 35, has 19 points, including three goals, in 40 games this season. He compiled a differential of +1.

He was traded to Pittsburgh in July, along with Ryan Poehling. This trade allowed the Habs to obtain Michael Matheson and a fourth-round pick in 2023.

Petry's contract is worth an average annual value of $6.25 million and does not expire until in 2025. The agreement also includes a partial non-trade clause. Petry can submit a list of 15 teams he refuses to be traded to.
