Peru has passed, Wednesday, the mark of 400, 000 cases of contamination coronavirus and identified 204 people dead in 24 hours, announced the ministry of Health.
The number of cases of covid-19 in the country now stands at 400 683 5 678 new infections in a day, specified by the ministry. This is the highest daily increase since last June 12.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 18 816 people died in connection with this virus in Peru, of which 204 in the course of the past 24 hours – a figure that is closer to the peak of the 11 June when 206 new deaths had been identified.
After a confinement national population of 100 days, the Peru began July 1, the déconfinement in 18 regions out of 25, including the capital Lima.
With 33 million inhabitants, the country is the third State in Latin America with the largest number of cases of infection and deaths related to the covid-19 behind Brazil and Mexico.
