Playoffs: Stars knock out Wild

UPDATE DAY

The Dallas Stars eliminated the Minnesota Wild in six games on Friday with a 4-1 victory. 

Forwards Roope Hintz, Wyatt Johnston and Mason Marchment scored the first three goals of the game. 

Quebec's Frédérick Gaudreau gave his team some hope in the middle of the third period, but in vain.

Forward Max Domi completed the scoring in an empty net late in the game.

As usual, goalkeeper Jake Oettinger was solid in net with 23 saves.

For the Wild, Filip Gustavsson stopped 23 of 26 shots aimed at him in the first two periods. Marc-André Fleury blocked all six shots he faced in the third period.
