For decades, experts have attributed perfect pitch to genetics.  

We are talking here about this strange ability that some musicians have to recognize, when listening to a sound, the corresponding musical notes. 

< p>Absolute pitch tends, it is said, to be transmitted from one generation to another. But this explanation no longer holds, and more and more studies show that perfect pitch is possibly acquired.
