|La Biterroise Océane Cassignol est notre neuvième invitée dans l'émission Graines de champions. MIDI LIBRE – SYLVIE CAMBON
For this ninth episode of our podcast "Seeds of Champions" in partnership with the Occitanie region, meeting with the Biterroise Océane Cassignol (23 years old). His thing ? Open water swimming.
Difficult to take away his smile or his good humor. Guaranteed to compete in the Olympic Games in Paris this summer (July 26 – August 11) thanks to her top 10 at the last world championships in Doha (Qatar), Océane Cassignol is on cloud nine.

Despite the waves – figuratively speaking – of recent years, the Biterroise has regained her warrior mindset to realize her dream: setting fire to the Seine on August 8 on the 10 km open water. After a complicated year 2022, marked by a change of coach (from Philippe Lucas to the Italian Fabrizio Antonelli), physical glitches and personal problems, Cassignol is today at the top.
Born in Béziers
The Franco-Mauritian will compete in her first Olympics in the capital. Born in Béziers, the swimmer is world champion in 2017 and European champion in 2020.
